River- the last community

The last community card in a poker hand is commonly referred to as the river card or Fifth Street. The river card is the fifth and final card that is dealt face up in the center of the table, and is used along with the other community cards to form the final five-card hand. The river card is dealt after the turn card, and is followed by a final round of betting.

In a game of Texas Holdem, for example, players use their two hole cards and the five community cards to make the best possible five-card hand. The river card often has a significant impact on the outcome of the hand, as it can complete or change the ranking of players is hands. Players may use the information gained from the river card to make educated guesses about their opponents hands, and may adjust their strategy accordingly. The player with the best hand after all betting rounds have been completed wins the pot.
